# Weekday

Returns an integer representing the day of the week in a specified datetime value.

**Category:** `date`

**Syntax:**

```
Weekday([date_column])
```

**Returns:** `IntColumn`

**Context Filtering:** ✓ Yes

## Parameters

| ------------- | ------------------ | -------- | --------------------------------- |
| `date_column` | `column\|datetime` | ✓ Yes    | The date to extract weekday from. |

**Allowed Column Types:** DATETIME, DATE

## Validation

* Minimum parameters: 1
* Maximum parameters: 1

## Examples

Weekday([OrderDate])
```

Returns day of week (1=Sunday, 7=Saturday).
