# StDev

Returns the sample standard deviation of values in the specified column

**Category:** `aggregate`

**Syntax:**

```
StDev([column])
```

**Returns:** `Float`

**Context Filtering:** ✗ No

## Parameters

| `column` | `column` | ✓ Yes    | The numeric column to calculate standard deviation |

**Allowed Column Types for `column`:** INT, FLOAT, DECIMAL

## Validation

* Maximum parameters: 1
