# AvgIf

Calculates the average of values in a column only for rows matching the condition

**Category:** `aggregate`

**Syntax:**

```
AvgIf([column], condition)
```

**Returns:** `Number`

**Context Filtering:** ✗ No

## Parameters

| Name        | Type      | Required | Description                                          |
| ----------- | --------- | -------- | ---------------------------------------------------- |
| `column`    | `column`  | ✓ Yes    | The numeric column to average when condition is True |
| `condition` | `logical` | ✓ Yes    | Logical expression evaluated per row                 |

**Allowed Column Types for `column`:** INT, FLOAT, DECIMAL

## Validation

* Minimum parameters: 2
* Maximum parameters: 2

## Examples

AvgIf([Sales], [Region] = "North")
```

Average Sales where Region is North
